El Dorado High School Welcomes Students Back with Golden Hawk Spirit

El Dorado HS

Each year, El Dorado High School kicks off the school year with spirited traditions that bring the Golden Hawk community together. On the first day of school, students and staff proudly wore their Nest Over Everything t-shirts and gathered on the turf field for a special all-school celebration.

As part of the festivities, each grade level came together to form a letter of “EDHS,” with freshmen as the “E,” sophomores as the “D,” juniors as the “H,” and seniors as the “S.” A highlight of the day was the Freshman Walk, when 520 ninth graders made their way to the final letter “E.” On one side, they were cheered on by teachers and staff, while on the other, upperclassmen offered their encouragement.

This meaningful tradition provided a warm welcome for the Class of 2029 and served as a reminder of the strong school spirit and supportive community that define El Dorado High School.
