Brookhaven Elementary School made #BearTracks on the field during its annual Jog-A-Thon on Thursday, March 10. Students ran laps to raise money for all of the quality education programs the school participates in throughout the year, such as Accelerated Reader, Imagination Machine and Walk-Through presentations. Funds raised from the Jog-A-Thon also pay for field trip transportation, the third grade garden, classroom supplies, playground equipment, and supplementary library and computer lab materials.
The event was a school-wide effort, as students were joined by teachers and parents cheering them on along the track. The community also showed support through donations, and even coming on campus to volunteer on the day of the event.
Everyone worked together to make the day fun, safe and successful!
