On March 12, 2026, Valadez Middle School Academy hosted its annual “Future Ready Day,” a comprehensive career exploration event designed to expose students to a broad range of postsecondary pathways and professional opportunities. The event featured 25 guest speakers representing diverse fields, including healthcare, law, public policy, entertainment, public safety, business, technology, engineering, and the arts.
Students participated in four structured 30-minute rotational sessions, providing them with the opportunity to engage with up to four different professionals throughout the day. Presenters included individuals serving in roles such as pilot, airspace engineer, medical researcher, attorney, chief technology officer, architect, and public safety officer, among others. In addition, representatives from leading organizations, including Apple, Delta Air Lines, Leon & Walsh Public Affairs, Inc., and Zealot Productions, provided valuable insight into industry-specific careers.
Throughout the sessions, speakers shared their professional journeys, educational backgrounds, and the essential skills required for success in their respective fields. These interactions enabled students to make meaningful connections between their academic experiences and real-world applications. Overall, “Future Ready Day” served as an engaging and informative experience, inspiring students to explore their interests and consider the wide range of opportunities available to them as they plan for their futures.
