Last week, Esperanza High School’s Air Force Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) program participated in an annual National Awards Ceremony. The entire corps of cadets, along with parents and friends, saw 14 of Esperanza’s best recognized by representatives of several national organizations, including the Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, Air Force Association and Military Officers Association of America. These cadets excelled in the areas of leadership, academic excellence, community service, patriotism and citizenship. Established just two years ago, the young men and women of the Air Force JROTC program have quickly established an outstanding record of quality and excellence.
