At the Tuesday, May 10, Board of Education meeting, two outstanding members of the PYLUSD community received the prestigious “You Are The Advantage” award for their contributions to the school district.
The first award was presented to Ward Smith. Ward is the former Police Chief of the Placentia Police Department, and a graduate of El Dorado High School. The second award was given to Mr. Marty Burbank and his wife Dr. Seon Chun-Burbank for their generous offer of providing free college tuition to Mrs. Tessa Ashton’s kindergarten class at Rio Vista Elementary School.
Ward, Marty and Seon exemplify our district’s core values, and the “You Are The Advantage” award is well-deserved.
