Lakeview hosts Family Science Night and Science Fair

Lakeview Elementary School’s Family Science Night and Science Fair was a huge success! Thank you to Mrs. Bilhartz for all the time and energy she put into making the event so much fun. Students, parents and teachers were all engaged, and truly enjoyed themselves.

The Science Fair had an Earth Day theme, and consisted of student experiments and display boards in grades K-5. There were many hands-on activities led by Lakeview’s fourth and fifth grade gifted and talented education (GATE) students. PTA parent volunteer Vivian Chern shared information on the school’s new garden project, and showed off plants, grubs and worms. As guests walked around, they could also participate in and watch demonstrations led by Valencia High School volunteers. Many enjoyed viewing a robotics exhibit featuring a robot arm. The event also featured Ozobots and an Earth Day QR code scavenger hunt. All judging was done by community members and staff.
