The Vice President for Enrollment Management of Hope International University (HIU) met with Valencia High School’s AVID freshmen and sophomores this week to present them with pathway scholarship certificates. This AVID-specific scholarship totals $48,000 across four years.
Valencia’s AVID juniors also took a field trip to HIU, where they received a campus tour and “swag bag.” The students also had a private luncheon and presentation from the HIU president, in addition to their pathway scholarship certificates.
HIU encouraged Valencia’s AVID students to continue their success on their academic journeys, and presented them with the opportunity to take a FREE college readiness course on their campus this summer.
Valencia greatly values its partnership with Hope International University, and looks forward to sending more Tigers their way in the coming years.
