El Camino Real High School held its class of 2016 commencement on Tuesday, June 14, at Bradford Stadium on the campus of Valencia High School. The Board of Education, Executive Cabinet and Principal Gordon Chamberlin were a few of the honored guests.
Ninety-nine seniors graduated. Joya Nelson gave the graduate speech. Maria Sanchez received the Association of Placentia Linda Educators (APLE) Scholarship and the El Camino Real PTSA Scholarship. Rocio Abella, Julia Adams, Jesse Alexander, Jason Bautista, Elizabeth Rosales, Joya Nelson, Hailey Perry Janet Rodriquez, Tuan Tran, Julissa Colon, Fernando Arce and Alex Franco received Placentia Rotary Club Scholarships. Jose Peralta received the Placentia Linda Unified Managers (PLUM) Award. Jason Bautista and Julia Adams received Placentia Yorba Linda Unified Council (PYLUC) of PTAs/PTSAs Scholarships. Autumn Kearney received the Rick Richardson Memorial Scholarship. Janet Rodriguez received the SchoolsFirst Scholarship. Diana Moreno received the Sue Hayden Memorial Scholarship. Maria Sanchez received the Ty Stout Memorial Scholarship. Julissa Castro received the Valencia High School Tiger Scholarship. Hailey Perry received the Yorba Linda Chamber of Commerce Scholarship. Aaron Avila received the El Camino Real Regional Occupational Program (ROP) Student of the Year Award.
