Placentia Police Department awards first-ever School Resource Officer Awards

Placentia Police Department Lunch SRO Award 6-6-19

On June 3, 2019, the Placentia Police Department (PPD) along with the administration of Valencia High School (VHS), El Dorado High School (EDHS), and El Camino Real High School (ECRHS), met for a luncheon at Craftsman Wood Fired Pizza in Placentia to honor three students for the department’s first, “School Resource Officer Awards.”

The School Resource Officer Award was designed to recognize a student from each high school who have not only maintained good grades and attendance, but have also given back to their communities, or have chosen to pursue careers in public service.

PPD’s School Resource Officers collaborated with the administration from each high school and selected Nicole Fortner from VHS, Alejandro Gamez from EDHS, and Anthony Muro from ECRHS.

According to PPD, these students were not only treated to lunch, but they were also recognized with a certificate of achievement, and a $100 dollar gift card from Target.

Way to go, students! Thank you for your continued support of our students, PPD.
