For the fourth year in a row, Yorba Linda-based Church of Grace has donated backpacks chock-full of school supplies to the PYLUSD McKinney-Vento program. The backpacks will directly benefit the most needy children throughout the entire district.
Church of Grace Pastor Suzette Barkey and her team of hard-working volunteers delivered 200 backpacks to the McKinney-Vento office at Topaz Elementary School on Tuesday, Aug. 30.
Jon Matson, the district’s McKinney-Vento liaison, commented, “We are completely thrilled to continue partnering with Church of Grace in Yorba Linda. They have been so generous to our students over the years, and this year they out did themselves! I could barely fit all the backpacks in our storage area. What a blessing!”
The PYLUSD McKinney-Vento program accepts donations from a wide variety of individuals and organizations. If you would like to make a donation or have suggestions for future donations, contact Jon Matson by phone at 714-986-7280, or by email at jmatson@pylusd.org.
