Read Across America Event at Topaz Elementary School

Read Across America at Topaz.

Topaz Elementary School celebrated Read Across America and the idea that reading to children daily is a great way to instill a passion for books. On March 1, 2024, the Tigers celebrated the power of literacy.

For so many children, their dreams begin with a book. Books introduce kids to new ideas, cultures, and perspectives. The school would like to extend a special ‘shout-out’ to the readers that donated their time and efforts, making our event a success.

Special Guest Readers included Dr. Olivia Yaung, Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services, Mr. Gary Stine, Assistant Superintendent of Administrative Services, Mrs. Gwen Redira, Director of Special Education, Mr. Jose Cabrera, Assistant Director, Dr. Taylor Holloway, Administrator, and many other Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District employees. Parents and members of the community also dedicated their time to the cause.
