On Tuesday, Oct. 25, Kraemer Middle School hosted Ben Mikaelsen, author of Touching Spirit Bear, at the Valencia High School auditorium. Mr. Mikaelsen spoke to a large group of students, parents and community members about bullying, working hard and overcoming obstacles. It was an impactful evening that resonated deeply with many in attendance. He also signed books after he spoke. Touching Spirit Bear is a core novel in PYLUSD for eighth graders.
