Students at Bernardo Yorba Middle School are gearing up for this year’s district-wide middle school track meet, sponsored by the R.E.A.C.H. Foundation. Led by Miss Barton and Mrs. Cyrus, the track meet has become a centerpiece for building school pride and a sense of community at Bernardo. This will be a first taste of competitive athletics for many students; however, there are many eighth grade students returning to provide leadership for newcomers. This year’s track meet will take place on Wednesday, April 5, at Shapell Stadium at Yorba Linda High School.
