Visual thinking strategies are being put to good use in Mrs. Fast and Mrs. Thorp’s third grade class at Rose Drive Elementary School, as they compare two book covers by author Dav Pilkey. Through the use of this effective technique, students were able to make many observations that brought them to the conclusion that Mr. Pilkey was writing about his own dog, and that “Bad Breath” was a subtle theme in both stories. A great way to launch into their anthology story of the week!
