The words Saturday and school don’t usually ignite much excitement among children, but enthusiasm and lots of smiles are exactly what was observed last Saturday at Rose Drive Elementary School. Taking advantage of the opportunity to make up prior absences, students were invited to participate in an extra day of learning in a fun and hands-on manner. The kids used this time to catch up on online progress for Spatial-Temporal (ST) Math and Ticket to Read, and to get moving with a variety of activities in the multipurpose room. Students and teachers had so much fun that the question repeated by almost every Roadrunner was, “When’s the next one?” A resounding success! Rose Drive’s next Super Saturday will be announced shortly.
What an incredible idea!
