On June 20, several Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District students will perform on the historic Carneigie Hall stage in New York City. These students, ranging from 6th to 12th grade, are members of the Southern California Youth Philharmonic (SCYP) under the director of Chapman University Professor, Dr. Robert Frelly.
Based in Placentia, SCYP provides a distinguished orchestral experience designed to motivate and enhance musical youth talent and foster musical growth through the rehearsal and performance of the world’s greatest music.
