Valencia High School (VHS) teacher, Katie Black-Knyazik, has been selected to receive a Stanford University Teacher Tribute by former VHS student Melinda Guo, Class of 2017. Katie was formally acknowledged with a certificate and letter from Stanford University as an educator who played a significant role in the intellectual, academic, and personal development of one of the Stanford University incoming Class of 2021.

This project is a central part of Stanford’s Teacher Tribute Initiative, which allows students to express their appreciation and honor those who have made a difference in their lives.

Both Katie (far left) and Melinda (middle) are pictured below in last year’s AP United States History class at VHS.
