Both of the El Dorado High School (EDHS) Mock Trial teams (Gold, which is a predominantly junior/senior team and Hawk, which is an exclusively freshman/sophomore team) emerged from the regular season among in the top 16 teams in Orange County.
Both teams competed in county playoffs that began this week. Following a hard-fought battle, the Hawk team narrowly lost to Fountain Valley High School. The Gold team won their first round of quarterfinals, advancing them on to compete against defending champions, Trabuco Hills High School. They Golden Hawks won! The team will now advance to the county semifinals on Monday, December 11.
