Student Council students at Golden Elementary School — led by teachers Mrs. Ayala, Mr. Zagarella, and Ms. Converse — passed out boxes to every classroom on campus last week to help collect food for families in Orange County who face food insecurity.
The group worked with Second Harvest Food Bank to provide food to families in need. Students worked to assemble and deliver boxes to each classroom on campus. The boxes quickly filled up with soup, cereal, breakfast bars, pasta, and so much more.
All of the boxes were collected on Wednesday, December 19. Student Council members posed proudly with the collection before Mr. Zagarella loaded it up into his truck to drop if off at the food bank.
