On Friday, March 1, all Valencia High School (VHS) AVID students who had a 3.0 GPA or higher, as well as students who made significant progress at the semester, were awarded with a barbecue luncheon. Almost 300 students were treated to lunch due to their outstanding, academic achievements. Nice work, tenacious AVID Tigers!
AVID, which stands for Advancement Via Individual Determination, is a nationwide non-profit organization devoted to closing the achievement gap by preparing all students for college readiness and success in a global society.
