Van Buren students showcase knowledge of color through clothing

Van Buren Preppy K students!

Van Buren Elementary School’s youngest scholars had a fun week celebrating “Colors of the Day,” where Preppy K students were encouraged to wear a specific color each day of the week.

Together, the Roadrunners learned songs, read books, had discussions, brainstormed, and categorized the different colors they celebrated each day. According to teacher Veronica Gomez, the students were enthusiastic and excited to put their fine motor skills to work by coloring, cutting, and writing, as well as their gross motor skills through dancing, exercising and participating in physical activities.

“There is never a dull moment in Preppy K…Life is like a big box of crayons, right?!” Gomez shared.
