Eighth-grade teacher Shane Twamley of Kraemer Middle School is one of three California teachers to be named to Curriculum Associates’ 2021 Class of Extraordinary Educators, an annual program that celebrates and connects exemplary teachers from around the country.

Mr. Twamley is among 44 teachers from 26 states and Washington, D.C., chosen for this honor that recognizes educators in elementary and middle schools. Shane was chosen because his students illustrated growth and achievement via formal assessments, and he demonstrated innovation and engagement practices for students.

Finally, Mr. Twamley has been invited as a speaker at the Extraordinary Educators Leadership Summit at Harvard University this coming August where he will receive his award. As a part of the honor, Shane will have access to a network of peers from around the country to collaborate, connect, and learn from throughout the year, as well as receive unique professional development opportunities from Curriculum Associates. Way to go, Mr. Twamley!
