Parkview student competes in Olympic Trials

Kayla Han, seventh grade Parkview student, competed on Saturday, June 5 at the Olympic Trials in Omaha, Nebraska and won the Consolation Final in the 400 Individual Medley (IM).  A NBC Sports video including her amazing win is linked below!

Kayla started swimming at age 5 and has broken six national age group records. On May 29, Kayla broke Olympian Elizabeth Beisel’s National Age Group record in the 400 meter IM.

Kayla became the youngest qualifier this Olympic cycle in the trials.  At the trials, Kayla was able to meet Elizabeth Beisel, who did the NBC broadcast of her race, attached is a photo of the two.
