Steve Vartanian from Fullerton Elks Lodge #1993 presented a $200 donation to Fairmont Elementary School for Coach B’s (Nate Babcock) physical education (PE) supplies.

For approximately 40 years, the Elks have promoted an anti-drug message through their “Hoop Shoot” program, with a motto of, “Yes to Hoop Shoot and No to Drugs!” Approximately three million boys and girls ages eight through 13 participate nationally each year. Last November, Mr. Vartanian presented the free anti-drug “Hoop Shoot” program to five PE classes consisting of third through sixth graders. Woodsboro Elementary School student Emily Briggs is a two-time state champion and national finalist in the “Hoop Dreams” program. Mr. Vartanian’s two children attend Fairmont.

For more information on “Hoop Shoot,” call the Fullerton Elks Lodge #1993 at 714-870-1993, or visit their website here.
