Travis Ranch Middle School PBIS Kickoff Day a huge success

Travis Ranch Middle School kicked off the school year with a highly engaging Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) Kickoff Day event on Thursday, Sept. 1. Students traveled to four different engaging stations throughout the day, including a “Drum Cafe” workshop where 200+ students played hand drums in unison. Students also heard motivational guest speaker Tyler Durman talk about respect, played with diabolos after watching a professional demonstration and learned about expectations directly from teachers, a counselor and school administrators. At the end of the day, students recapped with their sixth period teacher, and used their mobile devices to complete an online survey. This is Travis Ranch’s second annual PBIS Kickoff Day, and the school is thankful for the staff, parent and student support that makes the event a huge success!
