Esperanza AFJROTC Cadets support Parkinson's Foundation

Twenty-six Cadets from the Esperanza High School AFJROTC program supported the Parkinson’s Foundation Moving Day at the end of October. This event is the annual fundraising walk event for the Parkinson’s Foundation. It is a fun and inspiring fundraising event that unites families, friends, and communities both large and small in the fight against Parkinson’s disease.

This celebration of movement featured a family friendly walk course, a kids area, a caregivers relaxation tent and a special Movement Pavilion featuring yoga, dance, Tai Chi, Pilates, etc. all proven to help manage the symptoms of PD. Special recognition should go to Cadet Corps Commander Chris Thornburg for organizing the event. Additionally, Cadets Logan Freese-Hill, Jasmine Lowe, and Ian McCuen provided essential support to the Cadet Corps Volunteers.  Well Done Aztecs!
