District bands dominate local field tournaments

This past weekend, several PYLUSD high school and middle school bands and auxiliary units stormed the field, played their hearts out and took home awards. Truly a great day for music in our district!

Irvine Field Tournament
Valencia High School band (Tiger Regiment) took first place in the 5A division with a score of 86.7. Valencia’s color guard took second place with a score of 78.5, and the drumline took third place with a score of 83.0. Watch the Tiger Regiment’s award-winning performance here:

Additionally, El Dorado High School band took second place in the 6A division, and also won the Auxiliary Sweepstakes Award.

Loara Field Tournament
Yorba Linda High School band took first place in the 2A division, and also won the Music Sweepstakes Award.

Loara Band Review
Bernardo Yorba Middle School took Band Sweepstakes, Music Sweepstakes and First Place Auxiliary. Yorba Linda High School placed third in the 2A band division and First Place Auxiliary. Esperanza High School band placed second in the 4A division and First Place Auxiliary.
