Enthusiastic elementary entrepreneurs at Glenknoll Elementary School

On Monday, April 23, 2018, Glenknoll third grade students proudly revealed and displayed their original inventions at the school’s First Annual Invention Convention!

As an extension to the English Language Arts Benchmark Unit, “Advancements in Technology,” third graders utilized their creative genius to come up with a product that would help solve a problem in their lives. The plethora of ideas included a skateboard with magnetic bottom (in order to stay on railings), a magnetic desk top/pencil (always losing pencils), and a water conservation system which recycles water from air conditioners.

Students had to take polls, do research, and make a model of their innovation.  Parents and Preppy-K through sixth grade students were invited and mesmerized by these young innovators as they discussed their inventions.

Great job, Cougars!
