On Wednesday, May 2, about 50 students from Topaz and Melrose elementary schools had a fun night out at Angel Stadium of Anaheim.

Thanks to the generosity of the OC GRIP program, students were treated to hats, hot dogs, and more! Students watched the players warm up and were even greeted by the Los Angeles Angels manager Mike Scioscia. They listened to several players give motivational speeches encouraging them to set goals and do their best.

“The highlight of the evening were the two home runs in the first inning by Albert Pujols and Mike Trout,” shared Topaz principal, Christa Borgese. “It was a night to remember!”

OC GRIP is a non-profit 501(c)(3) that supports the initiatives of the GRIP (Gang Reduction Intervention Partnership) program in the Orange County District Attorney’s Office with the support of over 200 partners in 13 cities, including police departments, probation departments, and more than 100 private businesses and non-profit organizations.
