Students in Valencia High School’s (VHS) HOUSE program recently dedicated 10 hours of their Saturday to assist at the Kathy Ireland Children’s Christmas Event for foster, orphaned, and disadvantaged youth ages 4-11.
At this event, young children enjoy a holiday wonderland of entertainment, games, holiday arts and crafts, story time, sing-a-long, meet and greets with celebrities, and a visit from Santa who presents a gift to each child. The event incorporates disaster and emergency preparedness and response education through play and entertainment.
Out of all of the volunteers at this year’s event, the Tigers by far had the most students on hand! Great work, VHS HOUSE!
