This month, students at Bryant Ranch School learned about Mary Cassatt during their recent “Art Master” assemblies. Cassatt was one of the leading American artists in the Impressionist movement of the later part of the 1800s.
The kindergarten students pictured above are modeling hats that they will draw when they create their follow-up art projects in class. Cassatt was widely known for her paintings of children in over sized hats, as seen below.
At Bryant Ranch, the Art Masters program is funded by the school’s Parent Teacher Association, known as PTA.
