On Friday, May 3, Esperanza High School’s Unified Sports class attended California State University, Fullerton’s annual Goodwill of Orange County Faley Special Games. Esperanza’s Unified Sports aims to promote and create social inclusion between individuals with and without intellectual disabilities through sports.

This year, over 50 Aztec athletes, staff, and volunteers participated this year. Attendees were greeted and entertained with live music, lunch, and games such as basketball, soccer, track, and more. The goal of the day is to promote fitness, fun and friendships between students with disabilities and volunteers who dedicate their day to the event.

This year it was expected that 2,500 special athletes were in attendance and over 2,000 volunteers attended to help make the day a success!
