The student council at Fairmont Elementary School hosted a toy drive. The school collected 44 bags of toys for families at Tynes and Topaz elementary schools, as well as a few families at Fairmont. The Fairmont students and families were very generous, as always.
Book fair
Fairmont’s PTA hosted a winter book fair that raised money for the school, while also allowing students to purchase engaging books to support their love of reading.
The Lion King
Fairmont is looking forward to its upcoming school-wide drama production of “The Lion King.” It will take place at the district Performing Arts Center (PAC) from Jan. 21 through Jan. 23. Tickets go on sale Jan. 7 online at www.fairmontelementary.org.
