Rose Drive Elementary School’s student leadership group, T.E.A.M. (Together Everyone Achieves More) Roadrunners, led the charge to encourage their classmates to design and create their own cards to present to Meals on Wheels. The students needed very little prompting, given the sheer number of those who voluntarily gave up their lunch recess time on Wednesday, Dec. 9, to design their cards using the materials provided by the leadership group. T.E.A.M. Roadrunner members remained on hand with samples, tips and guidance, ensuring students could complete cards they would be proud to present. T.E.A.M. Roadrunners will take an off-campus field trip during the last week of school to present the cards to Meals on Wheels, who will then distribute to families and individuals who might not be receive any over the holiday season. This small gesture could make the world of difference to someone.
