To kick off the new calendar year, the Placentia Chamber of Commerce awarded seven educator grants to Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District (PYLUSD) teachers. The grants, which total over $5,000, provide funds to support innovative and collaborative classroom projects that will directly impact and enhance learning experiences for PYLUSD students.
A few examples of the grant funded projects include purchasing virtual reality goggles, a 3-D printer, and inventory for an e-commerce website. Congratulations to the following teachers:
Stephen Faller, Travis Ranch School
Project: Environmental Heroes (VR)
Mark Pederson & Jordan Searby, El Dorado High School
Project: Shark Tank Gilded Age Business
Kristi Cooan, Golden Elementary School
