Buena Vista Virtual Academy (BVVA) held their inaugural graduation and promotion ceremony on Tuesday, June 15, at Nathan Shapell Memorial Stadium. The school awarded seniors their high school diploma as well as promoted dozens of eighth grade students.
To begin the ceremony, Director and Principal Carrie Bisgard welcomed those in attendance including BVVA students, staff, families, and distinguished guests such as Board of Education Vice President, Carrie Buck, Clerk, Marilyn Anderson as well as Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District (PYLUSD) Superintendent, Dr. Jim Elsasser, Assistant Superintendent, Dr. Linda Adamson, and Administrator of Secondary Education and BVVA’s new Principal, Jamie Jauch.
BVVA student Natalie Anderson then delivered a student address in front of an energetic crowd of fellow graduates, loved ones, and staff members. Board Vice President Carrie Buck then accepted the Buena Vista Virtual Academy Class of 2021 as having met all the necessary requirements in order to earn their high school diplomas and 8th grade certificates!
