On Thursday, Jan. 7, El Dorado High School hosted a “Legal Lightning” event to help kick off its new ED LAW Academy, one of several CareerLink Academies of PYLUSD. Over 70 students from around the district had the opportunity to hear about legal careers from nearly 20 legal professionals, including defense investigators, college professors, court reporters and federal judges. The night was organized in a “legal career speed dating” format, and was coordinated by EDHS social science teacher and ED LAW Academy coordinator Sunshine Cavalluzzi.
