Every Friday in the Japanese classes at Esperanza High School, students learn specific aspects of Japanese Culture and participate in hands-on activities. Recently, the classes took an inordinate amount of time learning specifically about Japanese woodblock prints and then drafted some ideas, drew and carved linoleum (or rubber block thingies), practiced printing, and wrote some haiku to go along with their prints. Included above is a snapshot of a few of the prints. Way to go, Aztecs!
