On Thursday, Jan. 21, Head Nurse and Health Services Supervisor Michelle DeHaven was recognized by State Senator Bob Huff’s office at George Key School. She received an official “Certificate of Recognition” from the California Senate.
In early January, Michelle was selected by the Orange County School Nurses’ Organization (OCSNO) as the School Nurse of the Year for Orange County. Michelle was then honored by OCSNO at a banquet on Wednesday, Jan. 20, at the University of California, Irvine.
The School Nurse of the Year title is awarded to an Orange County school nurse who is first nominated by her peers, and ultimately chosen by the Board of OCSNO. Several county nurses recommended Michelle for the award.
This is so awesome Michelle! Very happy for you. Well deserved!! Sincerely Lisa Gilles.
