On Tuesday, October 18, Esperanza High School’s AFJROTC Detachment boarded the USS Midway in San Diego, California. The cadet corps had a blast learning about maritime air and carrier operations, naval history, and military traditions. Students had a great time exploring the ship and putting themselves in the driver’s seat of multiple different aircraft. Students also had the opportunity to see the bridge of the ship and how navigation works along with all the workings of the ship.
