Student leaders at Sierra Vista Elementary School in Placentia recently sponsored a food drive to help families in the community. With the help of their teacher leaders, Mrs. Gallagher and Mrs. Hendry, these leadership students created a promotional video to share with each class about what items to bring. They traveled to each classroom to collect and sort items that were donated.
The generous families at Sierra Vista donated cereal, oatmeal, canned goods, rice, and much more. In total, over 1,000 items were collected and taken to district’s Family Resource Center to be distributed to the neediest families throughout our district. Way to go, Eagles!
