Lakeview’s youngest students enjoy a variety of fall activities

Lakeview Elementary School transitional kindergarteners.

In October, Mrs. Liu’s transitional kindergarten students at Lakeview Elementary School have been learning all about their five senses. Recently, they learned about their sense of hearing. Mrs. Liu’s students made listening ears together and enjoyed overlapping lessons from the Second Step program on listening skills.

On Halloween, the students then had a Harvest Festival with Halloween centers in class. Lakeview’s TK scholars were able to make bat bracelets, spider headbands, Oreo spiders, popcorn monster hands, searching for eyeballs in shaving cream, bingo, face painting, and mummy bowling! The students were able to enjoy this event together during overlap time, and they had wonderful parent volunteers to help out.
