In December, Bryant Ranch TK students learned all about the winter holidays and the many different traditions people have to celebrate them! Students performed songs for their loved ones about Hanukkah, Christmas, and Kwanzaa. The students worked very hard to learn the words and dances for each of these songs, and it was so special for them to be able to share their performance with their family and friends!
One tradition the students learned about this year is the Icelandic Christmas tradition of gifting books and reading them on Christmas Eve. Classes celebrated this in their own way by having a holiday book exchange. Students brought in a wrapped book, and then had the opportunity to choose a new wrapped book for themselves. The students had so much fun watching as someone chose their book and knowing they were giving a book to their friend!
