On February 16, El Dorado High School was proud to host the first of two middle school AVID leadership days. AVID, which stands for Advancement via Individual Determination, has been a leader in promoting the skills for college and career readiness for decades.
AVID students at EDHS served as facilitators collaborating with AVID students from all six Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District middle schools in building relationships and developing leadership skills while participating in fun and engaging activities.
The day was planned by the EDHS Site Team in collaboration with the California Association of Student Leaders (CASL) and with support from district AVID leaders. Students from both middle and high schools enjoyed the event.
