Esperanza High School Opens New Art Gallery to Highlight Students’ Creativity

Esperanza High School art gallery.

Esperanza High School teachers Mr. Kevin Kowalski and Mrs. Lynn Magnin are proud to announce the opening of Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District’s first designated Art Gallery! The Esperanza Art Gallery was created when Mr. Kowalski was looking for opportunities to showcase students’ artwork.

Mr. Kowalski had a vision to reinvent the old computer lab into a new, modern, and vibrant space for all students to connect through the universal language of Visual Arts. The space was developed with the help and support of Visual Arts Teacher Mrs. Magnin, ASB Director Meghann Lukach, EHS Principal Mr. Jeff Giles, and Librarian Carrie Platz.

The Esperanza Art Gallery is the perfect complement to the Esperanza Permanent Art Collection which features purchased student artwork since 1978. The walking tour and a full description of the permanent collection starts on the far side of the lower main library and ends at the Esperanza Art Gallery.
