Fifth Graders at Lakeview Elementary School Attend Outdoor Science Camp for the First Time

Irvine camp Lakeview students

On Monday, March 4, through Wednesday, March 6, 5th grade students at Lakeview Elementary School attended their first science camp at Irvine Ranch Education Center. Students went on hikes, learned through hands-on science experiments, completed rope courses, and made a ton of memories.

The school’s teachers that attended shared that they would give the Irvine Ranch Education Center science camp a 10 out of 10. They were incredibly impressed by the richness of the learning experiences provided to the students and the joy seen on every child’s face while participating each day. According to the teachers, a student favorite was the night hike and the engaging camp activities.

“How wonderful for them to have this terrific experience to look forward to once they enter 5th grade!” Teacher Natali Riggio shared. “This enriching experience at Irvine Ranch Education Center is the first of many for our lion pride, thanks to the direction and guidance of our Superintendent Dr. Cherniss!”
