On Saturday, May 4, Placentia Rotary partnered with AYUDA International to bring essential dental care to families in need within the Placentia-Yorba Linda community. The event was held in the Melrose Elementary and saw a collaborative effort involving Rotary members, PYLUSD Health Services, AVID Student Volunteers, and AYUDA International’s team of dentists and dental students.
AYUDA International, a non-profit organization, is dedicated to providing free dental care to those who need it most. Their mission is to improve and sustain oral health in underserved areas worldwide. This recent partnership with Placentia Rotary highlights their commitment to this cause, bringing much-needed dental services to our local community.
During the event, 45 community members received comprehensive dental care, including screenings, x-rays, cleanings, and cavity repairs. These services are crucial for maintaining oral health and would have been otherwise inaccessible to many of the attendees.
This collaborative effort ensured that families in need within PYLUSD community were not overlooked. By working together, the Placentia Rotary, AYUDA International, and local volunteers provided a vital service, enhancing the well-being of many and reinforcing the strength and compassion of the community.
