Valencia High School and Esperanza High School students showcased their artistic talents by participating in the Garden Grove Elks Lodge wall mural contest, securing top honors in the competition. On Thursday, June 20th, the students were recognized for their outstanding work. Bill Meng from Valencia High School earned 1st place, while Payton Farrell from Esperanza High School took 2nd place.
Stephanie Jangi and Keith Huff from the Garden Grove Elks Lodge presented the awards, praising the students as “really great kids, impressive young men, with bright futures ahead for both.” Bill received his award in the presence of his mother and family, while Payton was joined by his grandfather. Both students were awarded certificates and prizes for their achievements, with Payton receiving $100 for his second-place win.
