PYLUSD Middle School Cross Country Meet Unites Students in Friendly Competition

On Friday, December 6, the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District (PYLUSD) hosted its second Middle School Athletics event of the year—a districtwide Amy Madrigal Cross Country Meet—at Craig Regional Park. Athletes from all six middle schools competed along a designated course, showcasing their skills and sportsmanship.

The event was made possible with the support of the REACH Foundation and the Valencia High School Cross Country team. Over 300 sixth, seventh, and eighth-grade students participated in the meet, which featured four races: 6th/7th-grade boys, 6th/7th-grade girls, 8th-grade boys, and 8th-grade girls.

Top runners in each category were awarded medals, and championship plaques were presented to the winning teams. Congratulations to the following teams for their outstanding performances:

  • 6th/7th Grade Boys: Kraemer Middle School
  • 6th/7th Grade Girls: Yorba Linda Middle School
  • 8th Grade Boys: Tuffree Middle School
  • 8th Grade Girls: Yorba Linda Middle School
