Glenknoll sixth grader Tyler Armstrong heading to Russia to climb Mount Elbrus

Tyler Armstrong, an incoming sixth grader at Glenknoll Elementary School, is rapidly becoming an internationally known mountain climber.

At just 11 years old, Tyler has begun using his mountain climbing expertise to publicize and raise money for a charity that seeks to cure a rare form of muscular dystrophy, Duchenne.

Tyler recently announced that he will raise $1 million for CureDuchenne!

Tyler is attempting to climb the seven highest peaks on all seven continents, and he plans to climb Mount Everest next spring. He will be the youngest person ever to summit earth’s highest mountain. Right now, he is in Russia climbing the highest peak in Europe, and he has already climbed the highest peaks in Africa and South America over the last two years.

Please join us in congratulating and encouraging this amazing young man from PYLUSD on achieving this incredible goal!
